A serene retreat from the nearby hurly-burly of Bognor Regis, Arcadia is a beautiful Georgian villa in a stunning location. It sits proudly atop an idyllic hillock and rejoices in heart-stopping views of Our Lady of Perpetual Suffering Parish Church and its picturesque graveyard.

Our immaculately-appointed spacious suites boast lavish interiors with exquisite décor, high-end furnishings and state-of-the-art amenities and facilities that are specially tailored to each person’s needs and empower them to enjoy literally halycon days (and nights). These include plush Persian rugs of precious silk (treated to be non-slip and non-staining), art nouvé zimmer frames and relaxing musical toilets, with a choice of Classical composer.

At Arcadia as well as respecting residents’ privacy we proffer a plethora of communal areas rich in detail and atmosphere. There are de luxe lounges, capacious dining rooms, the Dirty Dancing Discotheque, a Pamper Chamber, our very own Bodlian Library and the unparalleled Memory Lane, a designated corridor providing a carbon-neutral space for reflection and contemplation, where guests can indulge in unreliable recollection, festering resentment and really rather pointless remorse.

Arcadia’s Michelin-starred chef offers a sumptuous variety of delicious and nutritious meals, featuring stellar soups, disponible desserts with a rare fruity accord and Cordon Bleu bangers and mash, graced by his signature beef gravy and to-die-for Morel Mushrooms. Visitors are always exceptionally welcome to trial a mealtime and fine-dine with us.

We are an established part of the quaint hamlet in which Arcadia nestles and we maintain vivacious links with it. Superb local entertainers regularly visit us, including the infant tap dancers from the Fred Astaire Academy, a blind harpist, Derek the Dog and Mimi the Talking Mime. Our residents also venture out into the amazingly friendly community, on escorted trips to the Terminal Restaurant, the Bar Bubo and Grille and Luigi Hairdresser to the Stars and Traditional Turkish Barber. And, of course, for the adventurous and able bodied there are always the siren charms of Bognor to explore.

In house our specialist and multidisciplinary Activities Coordinator goes above and beyond and oversees an unlimited array of activities, such as bingo, puzzles, a singalong with pupils of St Zygmunt Primary School, inflatable darts, nuclear physics, extreme tiddlywinks, Shakespearian Sonnet composition, liver spot contests, conversazione with catatonics, competitive hallucinating and wheelchair cage fighting. Bewildered inmates are jollied along by our expert and dedicated team of carers who secure their attention by talking to them in that high-pitched singsong voice otherwise reserved for babies and pet dogs.

Finally, when The End is nigh, we offer a choice of six evocative Slipping Away Suites and are conveniently situated for the award winning Butchers Funeral Home, so as to ensure a sublimely dignified demise and smooth the way to a better world for the Dear Departed.
